It’s that time of year when our festive pumpkins begin wilting away. Whether you used them for jack-o-lanterns or just as gorgeous porch decorations, it’s time to start saying your goodbyes. However, before their time is up, there are a few more things you can do to get the most out of your pumpkin!
Everything But the Bagel Pumpkin Seeds:
For starters, collect all of the seeds from inside and place them in a bowl. Fill your bowl with cold water and remove the rest of the pumpkin guts from the seeds.

Preheat your oven to 300 degrees and place your seeds on a baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes.

Once your timer goes off, retrieve the seeds from the oven, place back in the bowl and drizzle egg whites and Trader Joe’s Everything But the Bagel Seasoning!

Once mixed well so all the pumpkin seeds are coated, return back to the baking sheet and cook in oven for 15 more minutes.
Afterwards, let them cool, place in a jar or tupperware and enjoy this yummy snack that is full of protein and fiber! Don’t like pumpkin seeds, give them to someone who does! They’ll love these ones!

Compost your 2019 pumpkin for amazing 2020 soil:
And now take your mangled pumpkin and put it in your compost bin so it can decompose and make you some amazing soil for your garden or plants!

Although, it’s just now starting to feel more like fall now in Florida, my favorite season is coming to a close. I think I drank enough pumpkin lattes for everyone and tried just about every pumpkin pancake-pumpkin butter-pumpkin creamer-pumpkin pie-pumpkin everything I could get my hands on. It’s just about time to say, “Goodbye, Pumpkins!” and “Hello, Mistletoe!”
