Hey everyone and welcome to my blog, my name is Keanna, the voice behind ‘just us and our dogs.’ I’m 25 years old and recently moved to Tampa, Florida with my husband and our three German Shepherds, Floyd, Izzy and Gunner. Throughout the past 5 years, we’ve had tons of ups and definitely our fair share of downs. We always say that at the end of the day it’s, “just us and our dogs.” So that has been my inspiration for this blog.
To get to know us more, we got married on October 20th, 2018 in Benton Harbor, Michigan but we have been together for almost 7 years now.
We are both night shift travel nurses currently located in Portlan, Oregon. Leonard has been a nurse for 6 years and is currently killing it as an ICU/PCU nurse and I’ve been a nurse for 2.5 years and work in the Emergency Department.
We have a gorgeous house in Tampa, Florida that we’ve done a lot of renovations and DIY projects to so you’ll find a lot of blogs about that on here. We put our house on Airbnb for now while we are doing travel nursing.
In our free time, we love working out, cooking, being foodies, taking long naps and spending time with our dogs. My goal for this blog is to show a little insight into our lives, provide tons of helpful tips and tricks regarding fitness and nutrition, give all my favorite recipes, take you on a tour through our new home and bring you along for the ride!

Meet Floyd, Izzy and Gunner!
It all started out with good ‘ol Floyd– We got Floyd when we first started dating. He’s almost 5 years old but he acts like a grumpy old man. He LOVES toys, playing catch, looking out the window and he can’t resist a good look through the trash.
Then came Izzy– We got her when I moved back from school. It was love at first sight when Floyd met Izzy.
She will be 4 this year! She LOVES bones, knows how to open every door in the house, can break out of her kennel and can eat a whole loaf of bread in one sitting.
Then along came the Flizzies– Twenty to be exact! Charlie, Hoops, Scarlet, Bella, Kobe, Rex, Memphis, Ryder, Jax, Remi, Silas, Ace, Hudson, Bain, Odin, Jackie, Maylee, Nala, Nommel, and Gunner.
But little Gunner stole our heart. So we added him to the pack đ
Now it’s the five of us, dysfunction and all, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
